Akane

Akane is a London-based New Media Artist and Creative Technologist whose practice centres on real-time, audience-responsive installations that integrate AI, AR, and generative systems.

Her work explores the intersections of technology, surrealism, and consciousness, often developed in collaboration with performers and audiences. Notable projects include *Quantum Consciousness*, an award-winning interactive installation that uses voice, gesture, and thought to create a shared digital ecosystem, presented at the RAISE Summit at the Louvre in Paris; and *Beyond the Code: Mia’s Odyssey*, an AI-generated film projection mapped onto the main hall at Japan Expo 2025. She has also collaborated with BSP, a synaesthetic artist featured at the Venice Biennale, on a multisensory performance, and with Tomo Sone, a renowned Japanese dancer, to reimagine a traditional Noh performance as an AR experience, which was officially selected by 20 international film festivals.

With a background in motion graphics and experience working with clients such as Sky, SEGA, Shell, Dior, and the British Museum, Akane brings a strong technical foundation to her artistic practice. This expertise underpins her role as a Creative Technologist, enabling her to fuse complex systems with poetic, immersive storytelling.

Her current practice is dedicated to collective storytelling and the reimagining of cultural narratives through immersive technologies, engaging participants in systems that continuously adapt and evolve in real time.
